About Us

Radically shifting pregnancy experiences. Providing reproductive care and support that is culturally rooted, trauma-informed and generationally healing for Black people, Indigenous people and people of color, especially immigrants, refugees and queer and trans families.

We provide care that is rooted in our ancestral ways. We define that as follows:

  • Whole-person approach | We consider the whole person, including the physical, social, societal and ancestral experiences that impact them, rather than simply their symptoms.

We aim to

  • Center the individual as an expert on their own body and needs by sharing information and decision-making

  • Support families through all reproductive health outcomes

  • Acknowledge that people carry multiple identities that impact their access to care

  • Utilize decolonial approaches to care

  • Trauma-informed care | We center survivors of sexual violence. We cultivate a space where comfort is prioritized by facilitating embodied consent practices.

  • Culturally rooted care | We practice cultural humility and uplift the cultural practices of clients.

  • Accessibility | We seek to remove barriers to care and wellness

    • We provide no-cost and low-cost care through telehealth, home visitation and strategically placed pop-up clinics.

    •  We support the language and communication needs of clients.

    • We provide material resources such as herbs, supplements, and other supplies needed to support client health and wellness

In Our Work, We Center:

  • Historical context | We recognize the ancestral and societal traumas, as a result of settler colonialism, that continue to impact the health and wellness of communities of color.

  • Intersectionality | We acknowledge that everyone has their own unique experiences and carries multiple identities.

  • Rest and sustainability | We pace ourselves to create the sustainability needed for balance and to thrive in all parts of our lives. Rest is an act of resistance and a necessary step towards collective liberation.

  • Interdependence and collective care | We grow and work in connection and community. We care for each other and uplift those in most need of support.

  • Inherent worth | We celebrate the inherent worth and depth of each individual and encourage openness about all aspects of self.
